Egg Tray Production Cost Calculator

Build a transparent USD operating-cost scenario for 100 standard 30-egg trays. Adjust local input prices, schedule and utilization without sending financial data to GDM.

Build your production scenario

Enter your local unit prices. Results are estimates, calculated in your browser and rounded only for display.

Core local prices (USD)
Advanced cost inputs per 100 trays
Monthly production scenario
Optional contribution and simple payback scenario

Contribution is before financing, taxes, depreciation, sales costs, administration and other overhead. It is not net profit.

Simplified scenario only. Not financial advice, not guaranteed ROI, and does not include all business risks or costs.

Ask GDM to evaluate your project

Transparent 100-tray calculation basis

The owner-supplied approximate basis is for 100 standard 30-egg trays. These are planning inputs, not guaranteed consumption figures.

  • Electricity: 5.8 kWh per 100 trays.
  • Diesel: 2.6 liters per 100 trays.
  • Waste paper: 8.5 kg per 100 trays.
  • Defaults: USD 0.30 labour, USD 0.10 packaging and USD 0.18 additional expenses per 100 trays.
  • Approximate tray weights: 260–280 g wet and 75–90 g dry per tray.

Energy use is not maximum electrical demand

The 5.8 kWh economics coefficient is energy per 100 standard trays. A model’s 65–200 kW maximum startup/peak electrical demand is a different engineering quantity used for site planning; the calculator never treats it as consumption.

Assumptions and limitations

Actual economics vary. Use this result as an early planning scenario and ask GDM to evaluate the production configuration.

  • Utility and raw-material prices
  • Tray weight, geometry and mold
  • Humidity, dryer configuration and operating conditions
  • Staffing, maintenance and utilization
  • Financing, taxes, depreciation, sales, administration and other overhead
