GDM ECP Pulp Molding Production Lines

A standardized platform for molded-fiber production. Six models from 600 to 2,200 trays per hour, engineered around a common industrial architecture.

Machine images are shown for presentation purposes. Actual machines may differ slightly in appearance and configuration.

Capacity reference: standard 30-egg tray · reference mould module 320 × 320 mm.

Production process

How the production line works

From recovered paper to finished molded-fiber products, the GDM ECP production line combines pulp preparation, vacuum forming and controlled drying in one continuous process.

How the production line works Production line, from left to right: 1 Pulper, 2 two primary tanks, 3 secondary tank, 4 forming machine, 5 control panel, 6 air compressor, 7 vacuum pump, 8 metal dryer. Pulp preparation, molding and drying run in sequence.

Production line components

  1. Pulper

Recovered paper and water are mixed to create pulp.

  2. Primary tanks

Two primary tanks store the prepared pulp suspension.

  3. Secondary tank

The secondary tank feeds the molding section at a steady rate.

  4. Forming machine

Fiber is vacuum-formed into molded-fiber products on product-specific moulds.

  5. Control panel

Electrical control panel that operates and monitors the line.

  6. Air compressor

Supplies compressed air for the line’s pneumatic systems.

  7. Vacuum pump

Provides the negative pressure used during molded-fiber forming.

  8. Metal dryer

Continuous metal dryer that removes moisture from the formed products.

How it works

From pulp to finished product

Every GDM ECP line follows four controlled production stages. The sequence is the same at every capacity — the difference is scale.

  1. Pulp preparation

Recovered paper or approved fiber is mixed with water and prepared as a stable pulp suspension.

  2. Vacuum-assisted forming

Fiber is deposited on product-specific mesh moulds using vacuum. Process water is recovered into the closed water circuit.

  3. Synchronized transfer

Wet molded products are transferred from the forming moulds into the downstream carrier system.

  4. Drying and collection

Products are dried to the required moisture level and proceed to collection and downstream handling.

Recycled raw material

From recovered paper to molded-fiber products

GDM production lines are built around recovered paper: with water and controlled process conditions, selected paper is prepared into pulp, formed and dried into molded-fiber products in one continuous line.

Recovered paper

Recovered paper or approved fiber is brought into the process as the raw material.

Pulping with water

Paper is mixed with water in the pulper and broken down into a pulp suspension.

Pulp preparation

Mixers and tanks keep the suspension consistent and feed the forming section at a steady rate.

Vacuum forming

Fiber is deposited on product-specific moulds under vacuum and dewatered; process water is recovered into the line’s water circuit.

Drying

Formed products are dried to the required moisture level and collected for downstream handling.

The same process architecture runs across the ECP range. Raw-material handling, pulp preparation and process-water recovery are configured for the project.

Why GDM

Built to be depended on

Industrial machinery is measured over years, not months. GDM lines are engineered for that time horizon.

  • Industrial engineering since 1979

Decades of continuous design and manufacturing experience in molded-fiber production equipment.

  • A standardized production platform

One proven architecture across six capacity levels simplifies operation, training and spare-parts planning.

  • Project-specific engineering

Lines, molds and process parameters are configured for the product, the site and the production target.

  • Practical maintenance

Industrial, serviceable construction designed to be maintained by a normal plant team.

  • International delivery and support

Export experience across Türkiye, the Middle East and Africa, with documentation and commissioning support.

  • Scalable production

Start with a compact line, grow into a higher-capacity platform — the engineering approach stays consistent.
