Egg Tray Machine vs Production Line vs Turnkey Plant

Machine, production line and turnkey plant describe different commercial boundaries. Define the boundary before comparing prices or delivery promises.

Machine

A machine scope centers on the molding equipment and its defined accessories. It does not automatically mean that pulp preparation, drying, plant utilities, installation or every auxiliary system is included.

Production line

A production-line scope connects the systems required for the agreed production process. Depending on configuration it can include pulp preparation, molding, vacuum, compressed air, water return, transfer, drying, controls and molds.

Turnkey plant

A turnkey scope adds a wider project responsibility around the production line. The agreement must state site preparation, installation, commissioning, training, utilities, permits, buildings and customer-supplied work explicitly.

A fair comparison

Compare rated-product basis, equipment boundaries, utilities, commissioning, training and support. Some quotations may cover only part of the equipment required for an operational plant.

  • Identify every inclusion and exclusion
  • Separate supplier and customer responsibilities
  • Compare total project value, not headline machine price
