The machine is one part of the plant. This page explains what a buyer prepares beyond purchasing the line — using verified customer requirements from GDM technical documentation.
A machine is the forming unit. A production line adds pulp preparation, tanks, vacuum, air, washing, PLC control and the metal dryer. A turnkey plant is that line installed and commissioned in a prepared site with the required utilities and foundations.
The customer prepares the site and utilities; GDM supplies the selected line and commissioning support. Site infrastructure should not be assumed to be part of the machine supply.
Recommended area is 150 m² for ECPS, 180 m² for ECPM and 200 m² for ECPL. Prepare a level floor, process-water drainage and concrete foundations according to GDM layout drawings.
Maximum startup/peak demand ranges from 65 kW to 200 kW and is not average energy use. Provide a stable three-phase supply. ECPL burner thermal power of 425–510 kW is separate.
Initial closed-loop fill ranges from 3 m³ to 9 m³. Water recirculates, with typical make-up of about 20% per month due mainly to evaporation. Provide connections for the pulper, washing and chiller.
For the documented ECPL models, compressor power is 18.75–22 kW and vacuum power is approximately 30–45 kW. ECPL-2200E has a verified 1,000 L air tank; other unverified values require confirmation.
The metal dryer uses forced hot air, an insulated body and transfer trays. Burner fuel compatibility is model and configuration dependent and must be confirmed for the project.
Provide road and lifting access for heavy units, adequate overhead clearance, steam ventilation, drainage and lighting.
Plan 2–3 workers per shift for ECPS/ECPM and 3–4 for ECPL to supervise, feed pulp, collect and handle products. The automatic machine cycle does not make the factory unmanned.
Provide approved recovered paper or fiber, water and product-specific moulds. Compatible mould changes enable supported egg trays and other molded-pulp products.
Model values are documented on product and family pages. Any pending project-specific value requires engineering confirmation through an RFQ.
The selected complete ECP line, product-specific mould sets, spare trays and a protected control panel with Schneider PLC and approximately 10.1-inch HMI.
Line layout and site-infrastructure guidance, process-water and vacuum sizing, and configuration for the product and site conditions.
Installation guidance, commissioning, operator training, spare-parts support and export documentation, configured for the project.
Turnkey means the line is delivered, installed and commissioned for the customer’s prepared site. It does not mean GDM supplies land, builds the factory building or provides local utilities.
